Job Description
We are currently looking for a Part Time Medical Assistant to work in an elementary school setting in Stark County. This position would be Monday:Friday school days from approximately 9am:2pm. Come see why our employees nominated PSI as a Top Workplace in 2016 and 2017

:Assist the Registered Nurse with students health needs
:Administer prescribed medications in accordance with school board policy, ORC 3313:713, and PSI policy.
:Provide first aid in accordance with established first aid procedures
:Assist the RN with all screening programs and school health programs
:Complete and maintain required documentation of student health records and health services provided
:Establish and maintain a high state of neatness, cleanliness and organization in the school health clinic at all times
:Provide and promote relationships between community health providers and students, parents, and the community at large.
***Specific duties vary depending on the building to which PSI staff is assigned as well as the roles of each position.
:Diploma from accredited medical assistant program required
:Recent clinical/medical assistant experience (within last 2:4 years)
:Experience caring for children strongly preferred
:Knowledge of communicable disease prevention and medication protocol
:Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to appropriately handle confidential information
:Collaborative, constructive team building skills
:Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
If hired, must obtain a current CPR and First Aide certification and pass a comprehensive background check (FBI/BCI check) as part of the orientation process.
