Performs all types of electrical and electronic construction, maintenance, calibration and repair work in a manufacturing setting.
Receives wiring diagrams, specification and instruction concerning maintenance, rebuilding and repair work.
Analyzes prints, wiring diagrams and makes on the job inspection to locate source of trouble.
Plans details, establishers working procedure, determines tools and materials needed and performs work requiring knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
Wiring specification codes, material properties and principles of operating equipment.
Understands how mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment responds to electronic controls.
Troubleshoots and repair electronic parts and devices.
Able to dismantle, clean, inspect, rebuild , repair, calibrate, replace , install, assemble, test, adjust and lubricate electrical and electronic equipment and components using tool of the trade.
Takes into consideration safety measures required and properly isolates equipment.
High School or Graduation equivalent in general with 2:4 years experience
Completion of a 4 year Electrical Apprenticeship
Completion of a 2 year Associate Degree in Electrical or Electronic Technology
4 years of experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance
